What are the security steps taken to protect the information shared online?

The Republic of Türkiye has strict data protection norms and does not sell, rent, or otherwise commercially use any personal information entered into the e-Visa Application System. The e-Visa application information and issued e-Visa are stored in highly secure platforms with international security. Applicants are solely responsible for protecting the security of their e-Visa soft and hard copies, as well as any information accessed by third parties. The e-Visa barcode contains encrypted and electronically signed applicant information designated by Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Only institutions authorized by the Ministry can access the barcode content. Applicants bear full responsibility for any issues resulting from personally altering or forging the barcode.

If you want to remain in Turkey beyond the duration permitted by your e-Visa, you must get information and apply for a residence permit at the nearest Migration Management office. Remember that e-Visas are issued solely for tourism or business. To apply for other visas like work or student, contact the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate. If you overshoot your visa tenure that could result in fines, deportation, or even a ban from visiting Turkey in near future. After the application is done, you can either download it or expect the same to be delivered via your registered email.


What are norms in case of children?

If your child has a passport in their name, you must either apply for an e-Visa separately or contact the nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate General to obtain a sticker visa. As of January 5, 2016, all Turkish visa applications must be submitted through the Pre-Application System for Turkish Sticker Visas.


What are the conditions for family applications?

All family members must be from the same country and have the same type of travel documents (normal, official, diplomatic). Their selected arrival date must also be the same, though they do not have to enter Turkey on the exact same day. Rather, e-Visa validity begins on the chosen arrival date, so holders can enter anytime during the validity period.
